Charles Gunn, a creative from Calgary, is a MFA student in Film & Television Production at the University of Southern California. Growing up, Charles exhibited a passion for a range of subjects, including sports, the sciences, music, and visual storytelling. He studied Kinesiology at the University of British Columbia and actively participated in various campus organizations. Most notably, he served as the President of Generocksity, a student-run non-profit organization that organized live music events to raise funds for local charities. During his tenure, Charles and his colleagues raised over $100,000 for charities across Canada.
After graduating, Charles felt compelled to follow his creative ambitions. So when he moved to Copenhagen, he began his career as an editor and motion designer at the management consultancy, Implement. In Scandinavia, Charles collaborated with major brands and artists such as Phlake, Bang & Olufsen and Novo Nordisk. He helped showcase their stories through brand spots and documentary content. Displaying a knack for storytelling and leadership, Charles was promoted to Creative Lead in his third year at the consultancy, leading a team of five junior creatives.
In Copenhagen, Charles also got involved in noteworthy Danish narrative projects, including the acclaimed short film Vågn Op Med Danmark. The film received the Audience Award from the Ekko Shortlist Awards and was a semi-finalist in the Flickers’ Rhode Island International Film Festival. 
Additionally, Charles has ventured into the realm of music. He has collaborated with producers and musicians from Denmark and across North America. To date, he has released five singles under his own name which have received over 15,000 streams.
